Contracted by the Saugeen & Bruce Economic Development Corporations to co-ordinate the first-ever Hawks' Nest event, a 'Dragon's Den' inspired competition. This community event is to encourage economic development and entrepreneurialism in Grey, Bruce, Wellington North and Minto where finalists pitch their business ideas to local angel investors, coined the Hawks, in attempt to secure financial support.

Each Hawk committed to invest a minimum of $5,000 on one or more of the entrepreneurs pitching that evening. With a minimum of $25,000 up for grabs, the audience enjoyed an entertaining evening full of fun surprises!

The competition was deemed a huge success by the presenting partners and has been approved to carry on!

The successful completion of this project realized; over 50 business plan training participants, 20 submission, 7 finalists, over $50,000 invested at the event to a packed audience of over 270 people.
