PROJECTS ~ STARS in business Awards    Based on the success of the S.Co.B.E. Awards and numerous requests from other Saugeen region communities to offer a similar program, the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) introduced the "STARS in business Awards." The awards honour and recognize the excellence of businesses and entrepreneurs. The successful completion of this project set the groundwork for establishing the "STARS in business Awards" as an important local economic development tool in the community, providing a catalyst for small business creation and jobs. Some of the many activities carried out to launch this community project include: work with the organizing committee; creating public awareness and advertising programs; recruiting nominees and sponsors; design of judging criteria and process; video production; stage design; gala evening detail planning; and promotion of event and tickets.
